Bulwark Games

Bulwark Games opened its doors in October, 2021, but it was an idea twenty years in the making. Growing up in Bebington, Wirral, founders Ross and Chris always hoped that a local venue might open that brought together all of their favourite things - miniatures, board games, roleplaying games, trading cards, and so much more. After years of waiting, it turned out that sometimes you just have to do it yourselves!

Bulwark is built on the belief that all of these hobbies don't have to be exclusive to the veterans or the experts.

Even the most talented painter had to pick up a paint brush for the first time; even the most experienced gamer had to roll their very first D20 at some point.

We've all been beginners, and spaces like Bulwark are better when they're open, welcoming, and inclusive to all. We are lifelong hobbyists, and we want to bring new faces into those hobbies.

The bigger and more diverse the community, the better.

Our corner of Bebington is a board game café, hobby shop, social space, and so much more.

We have a library of board games available to hire and play on our tables; a range of hot and cold drinks and sweet and savoury snacks to keep you refreshed; and sale shelves heaving with board games, miniatures, trading cards, and hobby supplies.

We host Warhammer clubs for adults and for kids, roleplaying groups, weekly events for card games such as Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh!, regular board gaming nights, and more to come.
